The Griffith Elder Spreader Monitor is automatic weighing and monitoring system for use on fertiliser and manure spreaders.
Weighing
The heart of the Spreader Monitor is it's weighing system. Four stainless steel Loadcells are used to detect the weight in the hopper. Loadcell capacities from 500kg to 9,000kg are available to suit most spreaders.
Area Measurement
Area Spread is detected using either a wheel sensor or a ground speed radar. Area is only accumulated while the spreading mechanism is engaged.
Brainbox Indicator
A BrainBox Indicator is used in the cab to display weights and application rates to the operator.
Simple to operate
In operation the system is simple. To use the Spreader Monitor shows an instantaneous application rate while spreading. This allows the operator to easily maintain the correct application rate.
Accuracy
The weighing is guaranteed accurate to within 1/2%. It is also fully calibrated in the factory.
Total and part memories
The Brainbox indicator has two memories; a total and a part memory. The total memory is used to record the information for the complete job or field. The part memory is used to record the information for an individual field or plot within a field.
Model sm1
The spreader monitor type sm1 is the basic weighing system. The display shows the weight in the hopper and accumulates the total weight spread for the job.
Model sm2
The spreader monitor type sm2 also includes a speed and area measurement to give the area covered and applications rates.
Model sm3
The spreader monitor type sm3 has a built in printer. The information shown is the same as the sm2, but also includes date, time , worktime and workrate.
