Weigh Beams

The Griffith Elder Weigh Bars provide a rugged, portable, weighing system which can be used in many applications around the farm and factory. The beams are designed to maintain high level of accuracy while being used on both level and uneven ground. Each beam is 1.25 metres long and weighs just 20 kg.

The weigh bars may be set any distance apart for weighing a wide range of commodities such as pallets and boxes of produce. When under a cattle crush or simple platform they are suitable for weighing all types of livestock including cattle, deer, horses, pigs and sheep.

The weigh beams are normally supplied with the Brain-Box indicator. This indicator is calibrated to weigh up to 1,500 kg, 2,000 kg or 4,000 kg in steps of 1 kg, and can be operated from 12 volts dc (eg a car battery) or mains electricity.
