Griffith Elder will be returning to AgriTechnica exhibition in Hanover, Germany this November to showcase our weighing systems and weighbridges, with a particular focus on our On-Board Weighing Systems, Portable Weigh Beams & software.

Here at Griffith Elder, we have made weighing on the farm our focus for more than 40 years. We work closely with farmers and agricultural businesses, as well as original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to understand real farm requirements and conditions.

Griffith Elder currently exports to more than 50 countries worldwide, and are actively looking for distributors. Our Weigh Beams are particularly simple to transport, store and supply as a standard package. Interested parties are welcome to visit us in Hall 7, Stand A28.

OEM On-Board Weighing

Our onboard weighing systems have been a particular area of expertise for the company for approximately 30 years, with systems installed by their OEM partners onto a wide variety of agricultural vehicles and trailed machines. This has included systems for manufacturers of Tipping Trailers, Spreaders, Hook and Lift Trailers, Mobile Grain Mills and Diet Feeders.

The fundamental part of these systems are the Digital Weightel™ Load Cells. These load cells are factory-calibrated. They require no calibration by the manufacturers at the time of assembly and provide actual weight values and diagnostics directly from the load cells.

Install the load cells onto the vehicle or trailer, and due to their plugin connections, easily wire them to the control unit. Without any recalibration, the on-board weigher is now ready for use. All of our load cells are manufactured to the highest quality, in stainless steel as standard with hermetically welded sealing.

One example of our applications is the innovative tipping trailer solution which uses pin load cells that replace the tipping pins at the rear of the trailer and load cells at the front that support the body when it is in the lowered position. Therefore, the user will see a smooth weight display and output of the trailer contents, even when the trailer is being driven across a field.

CAN-Weightel Systems

Griffith Elder’s CAN-Weightel product range is designed in-house for ease of use and versatility. The CAN-Weightel is J1939 and ISObus compatible, making it particularly useful in the world of agricultural, automotive and off-road machinery.

At the heart of Griffith Elder CANbus weighing systems are the digital CAN-Weightel Load Cells that have their own CAN ECU embedded inside each load cell.

Installation, operation and service is simple, resulting in a convenient system for OEMs who wish to construct machines, implements or vehicle incorporating weighing.

Quickly and easily build systems. Use up to 16 load cells of any type with a mixture of load cell capacity or individual calibration factors.

Weigh Beams

Griffith Elder’s Weigh Beams provide a lightweight and versatile option as an alternative to a full-size weighbridge. This therefore removes the need for expensive site preparations and the time involved for relocation and assembly.

The operation utilises the Griffith Elder Split Weigh system, a completely automatic process. The process requires no user input, and therefore the driver can remain in the tractor cab throughout the process.

The Weigh Beams come complete with a combined large display and traffic light, as well as remote FOB buttons. Everything is pre-calibrated and ready to plug in and weigh.

Save all individual records and totals to a USB as a CSV file. Therefore, harvest information can be put straight into a spreadsheet, providing yield per field or store totals.

Weighbus Software

Griffith Elder’s Weighbus Software is suitable for a range of processes, with agricultural, industrial and law enforcement versions available. Calculate totals, including gross, nett and tare weights for each vehicle.

The Weighbus Software is simple to operate and use, reducing error and the risk of data loss. Weights, fields, crops, stores and other data are stored in the database for detailed reporting. Link the software to our traffic lights, large displays, cameras, road barriers and touchscreen terminals.

Full-Size Weighbridge

Griffith Elder’s Full-Size Weighbridge provides high-precision weighing with a long-lasting and reliable guarantee.

It is durable & robust, therefore suitable for use in harsh environments. The weighbridge is a modular design so it can be easily dismantled and reassembled, for easy installation and service.

Our sandwich construction provides heavy-duty strength in a low profile. This results in simplified, lower-cost groundworks. Install the weighbridge into a pit, on the surface, or 100% portable with steel fold-out ramps; an investment for future installations.

The weighbridge comes complete with a combined large display and traffic light, as well as remote FOB buttons. Our Full-Size Weighbridges are compatible with our Weighbus software, for detailed reporting.
