Weighbridge Installed at UK Royal Air Force Site

A 24m by 4m digital Plug-and-Weigh™ weighbridge has been installed at RAF Brize Norton in the UK. This weighbridge not only weighs each axle of a vehicle as it passes over the weighbridge, but also automatically calculates the centre of mass of a vehicle and total vehicle weight. This provides important management information for the loading of military vehicles into aircraft. The system uses a special piece of software which reads each Weightel™ digital load cell individually, this allows the centre of weight of the vehicle to be calculated when it is fully on the weighbridge. Without the digital load cells this calculation would have proved to be impossible.
